For 40 years we have brought exceptional music to the heart of East London through our festivals and participation programme.
Born as a Summer Festival in 1976, today we present two nationally-renowned annual music festivals in unique spaces across east London alongside an award-winning programme of free and accessible participation projects for over 5,000 people each year.
As a charity, we fundraise over 70% of our income each year to deliver this vital work and we are hugely grateful to our generous supporters who enable us to achieve this.
How can I help?
To help celebrate this significant milestone, please support Spitalfields Music by making a donation to our Life Begins appeal. A donation of any size will have a huge impact on our work:
- Just £10 can pay for a new hand chime for an older person with dementia to explore their creativity through our Living Arts project.
- £40 can give an aspiring young Trainee Music Leader a bespoke mentoring session, supporting the next generation of talented musicians working in the community.
- £100 enables a specialist support worker to accompany a young person with learning disabilities to an Inclusive Ensemble music workshop.
