Opportunities: Learning and Participation Internship
Spitalfields Music is a creative charity based in East London. We bring artists, audiences and communities together to find, explore and share extraordinary music experiences in one of the most vibrant areas of London.
Our work provides high quality, relevant and inclusive opportunities for people across East London to engage with music as creators, performers and audiences through an annual festival, a year-round Learning and Participation programme and artist development initiatives.
We are seeking a Learning and Participation (L&P) Intern to join the team for the period October 2018 – January 2019, including over Spitalfields 2018 Music Festival (30 November – 9 December 2018). Reporting to the two L&P Producers, this placement is perfect for someone wanting to gain hands-on experience of supporting the organisation and delivery of a busy programme of creative music projects and performances which have learning and participation at their heart. In addition to providing administrative support, the L&P Intern will observe and assist with project sessions and help with production at festival events.
This is a part-time placement of three days a week, flexible around work or study commitments. Time will be divided between the Spitalfields Music office and off-site in schools and community spaces in east London.
