This vast and magnificent library, hidden in Stepney Green, plays host to a celebration of Thomas Tallis and the glories of the English choral tradition, sung by one of the UK’s finest early music groups, The Erebus Ensemble.

The programme will feature Tallis’ much-loved Lamentations of Jeremiah, Loquebantur variis linguis and If Ye Love Me alongside contemporary responses from composer Nico Muhly (ENO, Metropolitan Opera, Britten Sinfonia), who absorbs the Tudor sound world within his own lyrical style, steeped in the Anglican choral tradition.
