World-renowned soprano Mary Bevan joins Europe’s preeminent lute player Elizabeth Kenny and cellist Joseph Crouch for a solo recital of music by Purcell and his Baroque contemporaries. The spectacular Grade II listed Victorian music hall, Hoxton Hall, is the setting for tales of grief, loneliness, shame, anger and guilt, embodying a quintessentially English sense of melancholy.
