EastEnd Notes: our new all-male choir

Do you enjoy singing? Are you looking for a choir to join in East London?

On Thursday 26 September our new all-male choir EastEnd Notes will be meeting for the first time and we’re looking for singers to get involved. You don’t have to have any previous experience, just a passion for music and a willingness to learn!

Led by Omar Shahryar, sessions will take place over a free six week course culminating in a performance in our Winter Festival. With repertoire ranging from renowned Pakistani musician Nusrah Fateh Ali Khan to Björk, this project will explore music’s unique ability to transcend all differences.

If you’re interested in joining a choir (or have a man in your life that you think would enjoy the opportunity), come along to the taster sessions on Thursday 26 September and Thursday 10 October. To see the full schedule, visit our EastEnd Notes page.

Over on our blog we’ve been talking about why we’re initiating a multi-faith choir and what it will bring to the community. Head over to find out more about EastEnd Notes and why we think this choir is particularly suited to life in Tower Hamlets.
