A new piece of music for 1000 people. Inspired by the roaring swell of a football match, Pulitzer Prize-winning David Lang’s new work invites you to step in among a chorus of singing, shouting, whispering voices. As the ebb and flow of music resonates around Arnold Circus and envelops you, lose yourself in the crowd and take your own journey through this powerful piece.
Crowd Out is a free event on Arnold Circus, E1.
“Inspired by a visit to watch Arsenal, this stirring work starts with muttered phrases and builds to a massive, multi-stranded climax… It’s by turns stirring and touching, in the way so much of Lang’s best music is. “
