Today (Fri 22 June) we welcome… Voce Sanctis
Voce Sanctis was founded in December 2010 by Matthew Collins & Oliver Doyle. Primarily an early music group, they recorded their first album Ars Perfecta independently and débuted at St John’s, Waterloo in April 2011. Following that successful début, they undertook their first major concert in September 2011 at St Luke’s, Chelsea with Couperin’s Three Lecons de Tenebres, Lully’s Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme & Purcell’s Come Ye Sons of Art. That night Eric Whitacre hailed the group “a truly remarkable young talent”. The singers in Voce Sanctis are all Choral Scholars in either cathedrals, universities or larger parish churches. They are all accomplished singers, many singing with a variety of other professional ensembles alongside extensive freelance work. All are members of the renowned Rodolfus Choir under Ralph Allwood.
Please note that today’s performance will be relocated to Crispin Place (outside Leon) due to the wet weather.
