Founded by the prolific Ton Koopman, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra is internationally famous for its commitment to authentic early music performance. Opening the Festival with a rare London appearance they will perform some of JS Bach’s greatest works, composed in Germany in the same decade that Nicholas Hawksmoor was building his masterpiece Christ Church in Spitalfields.
